SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend Module for Mambo CMS

This module makes available the SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend widget for Mambo. The widget enables users to announce content from the page viewed on Mambo via email, IM, blogs, and social networking sites. The possibility of spreading content from Mambo across diverse email and social networking channels makes this very different from other similar products. Also, users don't need to remember email addresses since the widget shows the contact lists from the respective email/social networks. That makes it a lot more powerful than other tools which just show a basic form to type email addresses. The widget gets embedded in the content and lets the user announce a specific page instead of the entire site without moving to another page.

To get started, follow the instructions below:

1. Download the Tell-a-Friend Module
2. Get a Tell-a-Friend account at http://secure.socialtwist.com/web/signup.
3. Click on the confirmation link sent to you by email and activate your account.
4. Login to your account at http://secure.socialtwist.com/web/login.
5. Click on Add Widget button.
6. Select 'Website' under Select Your Widget Type and click Next.
7. Enter your SiteAddress, WidgetName and click Next.
8. Now click on Create Widget.
9. Click on the "code" link in the left side bar.
10. You will see the highlighted text similiar to Your Widget ID: xxxxxxxxx.
11. e.g.: Your Widget ID: 2009041413103.
    (The number will be different for you. Note this down - this is your Tell-a-Friend Widget ID).
12. The text in bold is your Widget ID.
13. Login to your Mambo Administration.
14. From the top menu, select Installers » Universal.
    
    
15. Under Upload Package File, click the Browse button and select the Tell-a-Friend module from the folder on your computer where you saved the downloaded module.
    
    
16. Click Upload File and Install.
17. From the top menu, select Modules » Site Modules.
    
    
18. Select SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend and click on Edit.
    
    
19. Enter the Tell-a-Friend Widget ID in Your Account ID field. Select the pages from Pages/Items you wish to display the Tell-a-Friend widget and Click Save.
    
    
20. Select SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend and click on Publish.
